JUST IN: Raiders Owner Mark Davis Sends Shockwaves, Expresses Crushing Disappointment in Head Coach Antonio Pierce.

After a strong finish to the 2023 season, Antonio Pierce secured the role of full-time head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. However, his first full season at the helm has been nothing short of disastrous. The Raiders are currently tied for the league’s worst record at 2-11 and are enduring a brutal nine-game losing streak. At this point, it seems unlikely they’ll secure another win this season.

This lackluster performance hasn’t gone unnoticed by team owner Mark Davis. Speaking to The Athletic’s Tashan Reed, Davis expressed his frustration, saying, “I’m very disappointed, obviously. I want to see progress… There’s no excuses… We’ll re-evaluate after the season, but right now, I’m not in a position to make any decisions.”

What stands out in Davis’s comments is his acknowledgment that a re-evaluation is coming, paired with his admission that he’s deferring key decisions for now. This takes on added significance given Davis’s recent remarks about new minority owner Tom Brady’s involvement. Davis confirmed that Brady will have substantial influence over future decisions, marking a potential turning point for the franchise.

Big changes could be on the horizon for the Raiders. The team is expected to look for a new quarterback, and Brady’s input might extend to sweeping organizational adjustments—possibly impacting Pierce’s future. While there are arguments both for retaining and replacing Pierce, the team’s current state leaves his position uncertain. One thing is clear: Davis is far from satisfied, and with Brady now playing a pivotal role, Pierce’s tenure as head coach is hanging by a thread.
