Ferencváros Bolsters Midfield with Loan Signing of Krisztián Lisztes
Budapest, August 8, 2025 — Ferencvárosi TC has officially announced the loan signing of Hungarian midfielder Krisztián Lisztes from Eintracht Frankfurt, marking another strategic move in their summer transfer campaign.
The 20-year-old talent returns to his homeland after a season in Germany’s Bundesliga, where he made several appearances for Frankfurt’s senior squad. Lisztes, son of former Hungarian international Krisztián Lisztes Sr., is widely regarded as one of Hungary’s brightest prospects and is expected to play a key role in Ferencváros’s domestic and European ambitions.
“We’re delighted to welcome Krisztián back to Budapest,” said Ferencváros head coach Robbie Keane. “He brings energy, vision, and a deep understanding of the game. His experience abroad will be invaluable as we push forward in the Champions League qualifiers and the NB I.”
Lisztes began his professional career at Ferencváros before transferring to Frankfurt in 2024. His return, albeit on loan, is seen as a homecoming and a boost to FTC’s midfield depth, especially with the club navigating a packed fixture list.
Ferencváros is currently preparing for the second leg of their Champions League third qualifying round against Ludogorets Razgrad, following a goalless draw in the first leg. Lisztes is expected to be available for selection pending final registration.
With this signing, Ferencváros continues to signal its intent to dominate domestically and make a deeper run in Europe.
