Adelman, however, pushed back firmly against what he called “outside noise.” Following Denver’s 115–106 win over the Charlotte Hornets — their third straight victory and a franchise-record 10th consecutive road win — Adelman emphasized that the team is concentrating on what it can control. “I think we don’t freak out as much as maybe the outside noise does. I know losing at home is never good. But winning on the road this many times is also very good,” Adelman told reporters.
Road Dominance Balances Home Struggles
The Nuggets’ season has been marked by contrasting fortunes: while they’ve dropped several games at Ball Arena, their dominance away from Denver has kept them firmly in contention. Their 17–6 record underscores resilience, with Adelman highlighting the importance of grinding out wins in difficult environments.
He praised the team’s ability to adapt, noting that their victory over Charlotte was one of the most “enjoyable” wins of the season because of its gritty nature. “It was good for us to win a game like that. The opponent doesn’t matter when you’re just thinking about yourselves and trying to get through the season,” Adelman explained Sports Illustrated.
