The Alabama Crimson Tide, with only one commitment for the 2026 class so far, might be on the verge of securing a commitment from one of the top-ranked prospects of the year.
Immanuel Iheanacho, a 6-foot-6, 345-pound offensive tackle from Rockville, Maryland, recently revealed his top-11 list of schools, which includes Alabama alongside Oregon, Georgia, Penn State, LSU, Maryland, Florida, Miami, Auburn, Tennessee, and Texas A&M, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.
Ranked as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the 2026 class, Iheanacho is also the highest-ranked player from Maryland, a state that has previously produced excellent Alabama offensive tackle talent, such as former Crimson Tide lineman Cyrus Kouandjio, who is from Hyattsville, just a short distance from Iheanacho’s hometown.
During his junior year in 2024, Iheanacho played a key role in leading Georgetown Prep to a 7-2 record and securing the Interstate Athletic Conference championship, their fifth title in six years.
Known for his powerful combination of strength and athleticism, Iheanacho excels in both run-blocking and protecting against pass-rushers. His unusually long arms give him a distinct advantage, allowing him to keep defenders at bay with ease.
While not ranked as the No. 1 offensive tackle, Iheanacho is undoubtedly one of the most coveted recruits in next year’s class. If Alabama can land him, it would solidify their position as a major contender for another top-tier recruiting class.
