JUST IN: Seahawks Set Sights on Super Bowl Champion Offensive Coordinator for Major Coaching Position.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald hinted on Tuesday that more coaching staff additions may be on the horizon, and it appears the team is looking to bring in another assistant from the New Orleans Saints.

Rick Dennison, an experienced NFL assistant with three Super Bowl victories with the Denver Broncos, is scheduled for an interview with the Seahawks for an undisclosed position. Despite still being under contract with the Saints, Dennison has been granted permission to speak with Seattle, as the Saints’ new head coach, Kellen Moore, has yet to finalize his coaching staff.

Most recently, Dennison served as the Senior Offensive Assistant for the Saints. He has worked closely with the Seahawks’ new offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak, in New Orleans, as well as with the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos. Dennison’s professional history also includes deep ties to Kubiak’s father, Gary, from their days as teammates with the Broncos in the 1980s.

With over 30 years of NFL coaching experience, Dennison has held various roles, including special teams coordinator for the Broncos during their back-to-back Super Bowl victories in the 1990s, offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans, and the 2015 Super Bowl-winning Broncos, offensive line coach for the Broncos, New York Jets, and Minnesota Vikings, and run game coordinator.

Macdonald also mentioned that any current members of Seattle’s staff are expected to remain, suggesting no changes will be made to the existing coaching roster as new hires are brought in.
