The Detroit Lions delivered a dominant performance at Soldier Field on Sunday, silencing any doubts about their credentials as NFC Championship contenders. Despite grappling with several key injuries in recent weeks, they overcame Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears with authority.
On Monday, head coach Dan Campbell provided an encouraging update on the potential return of two standout defenders who have been sidelined for much of the season. Campbell revealed that linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin might make his comeback when Detroit faces the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, December 30. In limited action this season, Reeves-Maybin has tallied seven tackles and forced a fumble. The former Tennessee Volunteer, who appeared in all 17 games for Detroit last year, has been on injured reserve since suffering a neck injury in Week 9 against the Houston Texans. His last appearance was on November 3 against the Green Bay Packers.
Campbell also shared that offensive lineman Graham Glasgow is on track to return this week, bolstering the team’s offensive front. Additionally, linebacker Alex Anzalone is nearing a return to practice, though Campbell expressed uncertainty about his availability this week, stating, “I don’t know about this week.”
