JUST IN: Rams Sensation Cooper Kupp Shares Modest Response to Shattering Keenan Allen’s NFL Record.

In Week 13, Cooper Kupp quietly etched his name into NFL history during the Los Angeles Rams’ 21-14 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Despite a modest performance of three receptions for 17 yards from quarterback Matthew Stafford, Kupp achieved a remarkable milestone: becoming the fastest player to reach 625 career receptions in his first 100 games, surpassing Keenan Allen’s previous record of 623.

Neither Kupp nor head coach Sean McVay initially realized the significance of the accomplishment. Reflecting on the achievement, Kupp humbly credited his success to the team’s support and opportunities. “It’s a cool thing to have been part of an organization that puts me in positions to do that,” Kupp told ESPN’s Sarah Barshop.

Kupp emphasized the collective effort behind his milestone. “At the end of the day, we’re all asked to do our job,” he explained. “Whether that’s catching passes or, like today, putting the neck roll on and blocking for Kyren [Williams]. Throughout my career, I’ve been asked to do a lot of different things, and I’m grateful to be part of an organization that makes that possible. I’ve played with incredible teammates and coaches, and I’m thankful for every one of them.”

The milestone added a layer of triumph to the Rams’ victory, bringing them closer to an NFC West title, now just one game behind the Seattle Seahawks.

Kupp’s growing legacy is underscored by his career stats: 7,631 receiving yards, 56 touchdowns, and an impressive average of 12.2 yards per reception over eight seasons. As the Rams’ undisputed WR1, he remains a cornerstone of the team heading into the 2024-25 campaign.
