JUST IN: Dan Campbell Weighs In on Key Injury Concerns Ahead of Thanksgiving Day Showdown.

The Detroit Lions, fresh off a 24-6 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, are gearing up for their Thanksgiving Day clash with the Chicago Bears at Ford Field. However, with key players nursing injuries, the team’s resilience and depth will be tested during this short turnaround.

Injury Status Uncertain

Head coach Dan Campbell shared updates on several injured players following the Colts game. While the exact status for Thursday remains uncertain, Campbell acknowledged that some players might not be ready in time.

“Yeah, I mean, we’ll see,” Campbell said, as reported by Sports Illustrated. “Obviously, there are four players—Kalif [Raymond], David Montgomery, Taylor Decker, and Carlton [Davis III]. Decker came back out, but we pulled him late. I feel okay about three of them. Kalif might be a bit more serious, but even so, none of them are guaranteed for Thursday.”

Campbell expressed cautious optimism for Decker, Davis, and Montgomery but admitted that Raymond is unlikely to suit up. “I just don’t know,” he said. “But it’s the league—everyone’s dealing with injuries. The schedule doesn’t care. We play, and we move forward.”

“Next Man Up” Mentality

Despite the challenges, Campbell underscored the team’s adaptability and focus on readiness. “So be it—that’s how it goes,” he stated. “We’ll have our unit ready to go Thursday. Back home, Thanksgiving, against a division rival, and we’ll be locked in and ready to roll.”

As the Lions prepare to defend their strong season against Chicago, their ability to manage injuries and rely on their depth will be pivotal in continuing their playoff push and maintaining their momentum.
