Jahri Evans, a former New Orleans Saints player, was inducted into the team’s prestigious Ring of Honor on Sunday, November 17, 2024. The ceremony took place during halftime of the Saints’ game against the Cleveland Browns and was part of the team’s annual ‘Legends Weekend.’
Saints owner Gayle Benson, along with several of Evans’ former teammates, participated in the celebration, which was also shared by many of Evans’ family members.
“It’s an honor to join such an elite group,” Evans said. “I’m deeply thankful to Mrs. Benson and Mickey Loomis for recognizing me with this distinction. I also want to express gratitude to my coaches, teammates, and our incredible fans, whose energy on game days inspired us to achieve great things, including winning the Super Bowl.”
Benson praised Evans’ remarkable career, stating, “During his 11 years with the Saints, Jahri Evans established himself as one of the all-time greats. He was a true professional, a dedicated student of the game, and an exceptional teammate.
His outstanding performance on the offensive line made him a leader and a key player in some of the NFL’s most explosive offenses. His contributions helped create unforgettable moments in our franchise’s history, and we’re thrilled to celebrate his legendary career with our fans at the Caesars Superdome.”
