JUST IN: Raiders GM Gives Clears Verdict Regarding the Return of Former Head Coach Amid Major Staff Changes…

The Las Vegas Raiders have made significant adjustments to their coaching staff following their defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals, bringing back a former head coach.

According to NFL Network, Norv Turner has returned from retirement to join the Raiders. His son, Scott Turner, currently serves as the pass game coordinator for Las Vegas and may assume playcalling responsibilities following the dismissal of former offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.

Norv Turner, now 72, last worked with the Carolina Panthers as their offensive coordinator during the 2018 and 2019 seasons under Ron Rivera. After Rivera’s firing in 2019, Turner transitioned to the role of special assistant to the head coach.

Turner previously coached the Raiders from 2004 to 2005, finishing with a 9-23 record. He also led the Chargers between 2007 and 2012 and held various offensive assistant positions with other teams.

Turner’s career gained prominence after winning two Super Bowls as the offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys in the 1990s. With his long-standing reputation as a top offensive strategist, the Raiders are hopeful that he can address some of their challenges in the latter half of the season.
