Jermiel Atkins Commits to Kentucky
The Wildcats continue their strong performance in recruiting!
Another big win for the Wildcats!
Kicking off the Fourth of July weekend with a bang, the Kentucky Wildcats have added a key offensive tackle to their roster. On Thursday, 3-star offensive tackle Jermiel Atkins announced his commitment to Kentucky, choosing the Wildcats over Minnesota and Virginia Tech. Atkins also received offers from West Virginia and Arizona State.
Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 290 pounds, the Dayton, Ohio native has been on Kentucky’s radar for a while. Coaches Eric Wolford and Bush Hamdan are eager to rebuild the Big Blue Wall, and landing Atkins is a significant step in that direction, especially after several recent recruiting misses.
Atkins’ commitment marks another success for Vince Marrow and Mark Stoops, adding to their impressive list of Ohio high school recruits. He becomes the seventh player from Ohio to commit to Kentucky in the 2025 class.
Ranked 797th overall and 56th among offensive tackles in the 2025 class by 247 Sports Composite, Atkins is also considered the 31st-best prospect in Ohio.
Welcome to Big Blue Nation, Jermiel!
