NC State’s ACC Network Takeover Scheduled for July 13
NC State’s annual ACC Network takeover will commence in the early hours of July 13. Although the scheduling might not seem crucial, it would have been ideal to broadcast the State-UNC ACC title game at midnight and run it continuously for 24 hours. This suggestion might defy standard ACC Network takeover norms, but it would be a welcome change.

– Midnight – 2 a.m.: NC State at Clemson (softball)
– 2 a.m. – 4 a.m.: Virginia Tech at NC State (wrestling)
– 4 a.m. – 6 a.m.: NC State vs. Virginia (men’s ACC basketball tournament)
– 6 a.m. – 8 a.m.: NC State vs. Louisville (volleyball)
– 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.: UConn vs. NC State (women’s basketball)
– 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: NC State vs. UGA (baseball?)
– 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.: ACC gymnastics championship (gymnastics)
– 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.: NC State wrestling ACC title (wrestling)
– 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.: NC State vs. Texas (women’s basketball Elite Eight)
– 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.: UNC vs. NC State football game (football)
– 10 p.m.: UNC vs. NC State, ACC tournament title game (men’s basketball)
Since CBS owns the rights to every men’s basketball tournament game, these won’t be available on an ESPN network. This means you’ll need to look elsewhere for men’s NCAA tournament highlights. Moreover, broadcasting the historic NC State basketball achievement at 10 p.m. in mid-July seems like an attempt to minimize its visibility.
