Breaking News: New York Jets head coach provides an optimistic assessment regarding the injured veteran.
Jets offensive lineman Morgan Moses is expected to miss a few games due to a knee injury but will not be placed on injured reserve, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Moses sustained the injury during the third quarter of Thursday’s victory over the New England Patriots.
He was injured with just five seconds left in the quarter when quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked for an eight-yard loss. Although Moses managed to walk off the field, he was limping and appeared to be in pain. He was evaluated in the blue medical tent before heading to the locker room.
Olu Fashanu, a first-round pick in 2024, took over for Moses in the game.
The Jets had signed Moses as part of their effort to strengthen the offensive line. The 32-year-old had played for the Jets in 2021, during Saleh’s first season as head coach, but was released by general manager Joe Douglas in 2022. He subsequently spent two seasons as a starter for the Ravens before returning to the Jets this offseason.
