Dolphins’ offensive lineman undergoes concussion protocol following Sunday’s defeat against Seattle.
Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead is in the concussion protocol following Sunday’s 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Armstead left the game in the second quarter due to an eye injury and was later ruled out.
On Tuesday, head coach Mike McDaniel updated the media, mentioning that both Armstead and cornerback Kendall Fuller are in the concussion protocol.
“We had good discussions with them today, but there’s no specific timeline. It’s day-to-day as we focus on their recovery and plan accordingly,” McDaniel said. “I can’t rule anyone out, but I also don’t have a clear picture yet since it’s still early. We’re taking it one day at a time.”
Veteran offensive lineman Kendall Lamm filled in for Armstead at left tackle, playing 41 of the team’s 61 offensive snaps without allowing any quarterback pressures. Although the Dolphins selected Patrick Paul in the second round of the draft, Lamm is expected to step in again if Armstead is unable to play in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans.
With Miami playing on Monday night, the team will issue its first injury report on Thursday.
