Breaking News: Texas Rangers Finally Gets the Last Opportunity to Enter All-Star Game…

With less than a day remaining to cast your vote in Phase 2 of the All-Star Ballot…

Mookie Betts’ unexpected rise, Juan Soto’s quest to join Aaron Judge, and tight races at designated hitter in the American League and in the National League outfield are the highlights of the second Phase 2 ballot update for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game, sponsored by Mastercard.

Only one day remains to vote for this year’s All-Star Game starters. The Phase 2 finalist elections will determine who will join Judge and Bryce Harper, the leading Phase 1 vote-getters, in the starting lineups for the Midsummer Classic on July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington.

Fans can cast their votes for the 2024 MLB All-Star Ballot presented by BuildSubmarines.com until Wednesday at noon ET.

The All-Star Ballot is available exclusively online and via mobile devices at MLB.com/vote, all 30 club websites, the MLB App, and the MLB Ballpark App. Fans can vote once per day during Phase 2, with the daily voting limit resetting at midnight ET.

Here are the latest Phase 2 All-Star standings.

American League

First Base
– Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Blue Jays: 60%
– Ryan Mountcastle, Orioles: 40%

Guerrero (.297 AVG, 13 HR, .846 OPS) leads Mountcastle (.273 AVG, 11 HR, .777 OPS) as he aims for his fourth straight All-Star appearance. The reigning Home Run Derby champion hasn’t had a hit in the All-Star Game since his first in 2021, which was a home run off Corbin Burnes.

Second Base
– Jose Altuve, Astros: 57%
– Marcus Semien, Rangers: 43%

Altuve (.304 AVG, 13 HR, .822 OPS) leads Semien (.235 AVG, 11 HR, .683 OPS) and is close to being voted an All-Star starter for the sixth time and making his ninth career All-Star team. Semien, a two-time All-Star and the only 2024 finalist from the defending World Series champions, has some ground to cover to represent the Rangers in the starting lineup.

Shortstop
– Gunnar Henderson, Orioles: 65%
– Bobby Witt Jr., Royals: 35%

In a highly competitive race, Henderson (.288 AVG, 26 HR, 13 SB, .988 OPS) holds a significant lead over Witt (.312 AVG, 12 HR, 22 SB, .897 OPS). The Orioles’ young stars, Henderson and Adley Rutschman, are both poised for their first career All-Star starts this year.

Third Base
– José Ramírez, Guardians: 60%
– Jordan Westburg, Orioles: 40%

Ramírez (23 HR, 76 RBIs, .889 OPS) is on track to make his sixth All-Star appearance in seven years, maintaining his lead over Westburg, who is batting .281 with 13 homers and an .837 OPS in his first full MLB season.
