Fields completed 78 percent of his passes and threw for two touchdowns. While his stats over the past three weeks aren’t flashy, he’s led the Steelers to a 3-0 start and has avoided any turnovers.

He’s also on track to post career lows in critical areas like pressure-to-sack ratio, time-to-throw, and big-time throw rate—factors that had previously troubled him. The Steelers have seen plenty of positives in Fields’ game through these first three weeks.

Meanwhile, Russell Wilson has been dealing with a calf injury he aggravated just days before their season opener in Atlanta. He’s still not fully recovered, and even when healthy, it seems more likely that Fields will continue to hold onto the starting job.
