Oilers Part Ways with Assistant GM Brad Holland Amidst Front Office Overhaul…
The Edmonton Oilers announced on Sept. 17 that they have parted ways with assistant general manager (AGM) Brad Holland. Holland initially joined the team as a scout in 2019-20 and was promoted to AGM for the 2022-23 season.
Oilers’ Front Office Changes
The Oilers have seen significant shifts in their front office this offseason. Despite GM Ken Holland leading the team to Game 7 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final, he was replaced by former Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman. Now, Brad Holland has also exited the organization.
Busy Offseason for the Oilers
In addition to the front office changes, the Oilers made key roster moves, signing forwards Jeff Skinner and Viktor Arvidsson in free agency. Most of the 2023-24 roster remains intact, with the exceptions of Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg, who joined the St. Louis Blues through offer sheets.
With a revamped front office and a stronger lineup, the Oilers are poised to compete in the upcoming season. The big question remains: Can they return to the Stanley Cup Final and secure a championship after coming so close last season?
