Othmann Ready to Make NHL Leap After Impressive AHL Season…
Brennan Othmann is starting his fourth rookie camp with the New York Rangers and is now seen as a leading prospect. His main goal is to secure a spot on the Rangers’ roster for the season opener. After a solid debut professional season with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL, where he tallied 21 goals and 49 points in 67 games, Othmann feels prepared to step up to the NHL. His brief stint with the Rangers, although not highly productive, was instrumental in boosting his confidence.
Othmann, now entering rookie camp with added weight and readiness, is eager to prove himself. “Knowing I can compete at that level and pace, and play with those players, I feel I can handle myself,” he stated. Despite not scoring and seeing limited ice time in his three January games with the Rangers, he showed he could compete at the NHL level and even saw time on the top line.
Othmann aims to build on his previous experiences and hopes to make a significant impact during rookie and training camps to earn an NHL spot. He believes his game has matured significantly over the past season and is eager to demonstrate his growth.
