NC State Issues ‘Major Scary Injury Updates’…

Devan Boykin Out Until October; NC State Releases Week 2 Depth Chart…

Dave Doeren spoke to the media on Monday to review the victory over Western Carolina and preview the upcoming game against Tennessee.

He also provided an update on safety Devan Boykin, revealing that Boykin won’t be available until sometime in October.

While disappointing, this news isn’t unexpected, given that Boykin is still recovering from a significant knee injury less than nine months ago.

His early return was always a longshot, and it’s unfortunate that NC State’s two toughest games are scheduled early in the season.

On a brighter note, Doeren confirmed that Ja’Had Carter, who missed the WCU game, is set to return. His experience will be valuable in the defensive backfield.

The latest depth chart shows no major changes, with the only notable adjustment being DK Kaufman replacing Noah Rogers on the kickoff return team.
