Broncos Promote Adam Prentice and Garret Wallow for Week 3, Place Dre Greenlaw on Injured Reserve

Ahead of their Week 3 matchup against the Chargers, the Denver Broncos announced several roster adjustments.

Fullback Adam Prentice and linebacker Garret Wallow have been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s contest. At the same time, the team moved linebacker Dre Greenlaw to injured reserve.

Prentice was also elevated in the first two weeks of the season, logging 24 offensive snaps and 18 special teams snaps. Since he has now reached the maximum number of temporary call-ups, he would need to be permanently added to the 53-man roster to play in games beyond Week 3.

Wallow, who saw action in Week 2, contributed 15 snaps on special teams in his season debut.

Greenlaw, who was already ruled out this week due to a quadriceps injury, will be sidelined for at least four games as a result of the IR designation. He could return as early as Week 7 against the Giants. The offseason signing has yet to play in a game for Denver.

The Broncos and Chargers will clash for the top spot in the AFC West this Sunday at 2:05 p.m. MT.
