Borussia Mönchengladbach Launch Hunt for New HeadCoach After Seoane Exit…
According to reports from Bild and Kicker, Borussia Mönchengladbach have initiated their search for a new manager following the dismissal of Gerardo Seoane.
Seoane’s departure comes after a dismal start to the season, capped by a 4-0 defeat to Werder Bremen over the weekend. His tenure at the club ends after two years at the helm.
In the interim, U23 coach Eugen Polanski has been promoted to lead the first team while the club evaluates long-term options. Gladbach face a challenging run of fixtures before the October international break, with matches against Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Freiburg on the horizon.
The team’s form has been troubling: they’ve failed to score in five Bundesliga outings this season and are winless in their last ten league matches.
Potential Candidates for the Role
Several names have emerged as possible successors, including former Union Berlin boss Urs Fischer, ex-Dortmund manager Edin Terzic, Pellegrino Matarazzo—who previously coached Hoffenheim and Stuttgart—and Martin Demichelis, the former Bayern Munich defender and River Plate head coach.
