Kuziemka After #WISŚLĄ: “No Time to Slow Down—The Work Continues”
Wisła Kraków delivered another dominant performance, dismantling Śląsk Wrocław 5–0 at home under coach Mariusz Jop’s tactical guidance. Among the standout performers was winger Maciej Kuziemka, who reflected on the team’s momentum and his personal journey.
“We’re thrilled,” Kuziemka said. “We’re sticking to the coach’s tactical blueprint, and it’s paying off—goals are flowing, and we’re keeping clean sheets. We have to keep pushing.”
The young midfielder has cemented his place in the starting lineup, crediting his rise to relentless effort. “I’m proud to be part of the first team. Hard work got me here, but I can’t afford to stop now.”
Kuziemka also praised teammate Julian Lelieveld, highlighting their growing on-field chemistry. “Julian’s a smart player. I learn a lot from him—his advice on positioning and decision-making is invaluable. Plus, he’s a great guy off the pitch.”
Recently called up to Poland’s youth national team, Kuziemka admitted the honor was on his mind but never his main focus. “I always aim to perform well for Wisła. The recognition came naturally.”
As for Wisła’s electric start to the season, Kuziemka said the squad believed in their potential. “We knew our strengths and wanted to play bold, attacking football. Sticking to our plan has made the difference.”
He acknowledged the challenges ahead, emphasizing the need for composure and adaptability. “The First League is unpredictable—any team can win on any day. We reset before every match and fight for the points. Personally, I think I could show more patience at times, maybe circulate the ball more to wear down opponents. But I love our aggressive style.”
In closing, Kuziemka pointed to Wisła’s attacking mindset as their greatest asset. “We don’t sit back—we go forward. That’s our biggest weapon. When we attack well, teams struggle to contain us.”
