BREAKING: Denver Nuggets Issues Shocking Injury Update for Game 2 vs. Clippers After Big Game 1 Performance

Aaron Gordon Listed as Probable for Game 2 vs. Clippers After Big Game 1 Performance

After a strong showing in Game 1, Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon has appeared on the injury report ahead of Monday’s Game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers. He is listed as probable due to ongoing management of a right calf injury.

Gordon has been managing the same calf issue since late in the regular season. Despite the injury, he logged an impressive 46 minutes in the Nuggets’ 112-110 overtime win in Game 1, contributing 25 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and two steals while shooting 8-of-14 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line.

The 29-year-old has been a key contributor to Denver’s success this season, averaging 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over 51 games with shooting splits of 53% from the field, 44% from three, and 81% from the free-throw line. His “probable” designation suggests he’s expected to play but will continue to be monitored.

Injuries have been a theme for the Nuggets this season, with stars Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray also missing time — Jokic due to an ankle issue in March and Murray with a hamstring strain.

Denver had to rally late in Game 1, coming from behind to win in overtime. Jokic led the way with 29 points, nine rebounds, and 12 assists, while Murray added 21 points, nine boards, and seven assists.

On the Clippers’ side, James Harden paced the offense with 32 points, six rebounds, and 11 assists. Kawhi Leonard and Ivica Zubac also had standout performances, with Leonard scoring 22 and Zubac adding 21 points and 13 rebounds. Russell Westbrook, despite shooting struggles, made timely plays in crunch time and finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
