Dan Moore Jr. Fires Back at Critics, Determined to Prove Titans Made the Right Call
The Tennessee Titans made waves in free agency by handing former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr. a hefty four-year, $82 million contract. While he fills a major void on their offensive line, many fans believe the team overpaid for him. Pro Football Focus reports that Moore surrendered 12 sacks last season one of the worst marks among NFL tackles.
Despite the skepticism, Tennessee clearly sees potential in him, especially under the guidance of elite offensive line coach Bill Callahan. Moore is well aware of the criticism and is eager to silence the doubters.
“Of course, I want to exceed expectations,” Moore stated via TennesseeTitans.com. “But for me, it’s not just about proving the team right it’s about proving myself right. My expectations are always higher than anyone else’s. By meeting my own standards, I know I’ll surpass what the team expects of me.
“I don’t just want to prove them right I want to prove them damn right. I want them to feel like, ‘We got our guy. He didn’t just deliver; he went above and beyond.’ That’s the reputation I want in this organization.”
Moore’s determination is evident, and with a potential No. 1 overall draft pick quarterback under center in 2025, his role becomes even more crucial. If he lives up to his massive contract, the Titans’ offense could see a significant transformation.
