After an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa, Feaster was all praises for Alabama, and several recruiting insiders believed the Tide had surged to the top of his list. However, everything changed following a visit to Baton Rouge.

Over the weekend, Feaster rated as a five-star prospect by Rivals and a high four-star by On3 and 247Sports made an unofficial trip to LSU, and it couldn’t have gone any better. The visit left such a strong impression that top analysts Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong now predict that head coach Brian Kelly will secure his commitment.

This development is a tough pill to swallow for Alabama fans. Originally a member of the 2027 class, Feaster reclassified to 2026 and quickly emerged as one of the nation’s premier wide receiver prospects. According to the 247Sports Composite, he ranks as the No. 6 wide receiver and the No. 46 overall player in the country, boasting an astounding 50 scholarship offers.

Later this month, Feaster is set to visit Texas and meet with head coach Steve Sarkisian, followed by a late-April trip to Oregon to connect with Dan Lanning. However, with Simmons and Wiltfong now favoring LSU, the tide may have officially turned.

For Alabama, losing Feaster would be a significant setback especially after his positive experience in Tuscaloosa. DeBoer and his staff had high hopes that landing Feaster would be the spark for a strong 2026 recruiting class.
