Despite swirling trade rumors, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby doesn’t seem like a player on the move. Instead, he continues to voice his vision for the team’s future, recently making headlines with his latest remarks.
With reports confirming that the New York Jets are set to release quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the four-time MVP is expected to hit free agency in March. Given their glaring need at quarterback, the Raiders could be a potential landing spot. However, with a young roster, taking a gamble on a 41-year-old QB coming off a rough season might seem risky.
Crosby, however, sees things differently. He openly endorsed the idea of Rodgers joining the Raiders, stating on Tuesday’s episode of The Rush, “I wouldn’t be mad” about the move. While Rodgers is no longer at his peak, he would still be a clear upgrade over the team’s current options.
That said, signing him would be a short-term fix rather than a long-term solution. With Rodgers turning 42 during the 2025 season and likely nearing the end of his career, the Raiders would need to plan ahead. A potential strategy could be signing Rodgers while also drafting a young quarterback to develop under his guidance.
Regardless of what direction the team takes, one thing is certain Maxx Crosby is fully on board with the idea of bringing Rodgers to Las Vegas.
