Alabama football’s offensive line prospect, Bear McWhorter, is nearing the announcement of his commitment decision.
A 2026 four-star offensive lineman from Cass High School in Georgia, McWhorter has caught the attention of top programs such as Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, and Michigan.
In an interview with Touchdown Alabama on Sunday, McWhorter shared that his decision is coming soon.
“I’m considering a lot of factors, with relationships being key. It’s about who I’m hearing from and where I can see myself playing,” McWhorter explained. “I’m also praying about it and reflecting on where I see myself fitting in, as I feel I’ve seen everything I need to during my visits.”
Alabama, which recently hosted McWhorter on a visit, appears to be in a favorable position in his recruitment.
“They’re in really strong standing,” McWhorter noted. “I feel great about them at this stage of the process.”
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 290 pounds, McWhorter is an agile and physical offensive lineman, excelling at the guard position. He’s known for his ability to reach the second level and dominate in the run game.
