The Atlanta Braves have strengthened their 2025 international free agent class by adding several new players, with Venezuelan shortstop Angel Carmona standing out as the top prospect.
Carmona, a 6’1” infielder, is expected to remain in the middle infield, as noted by Baseball America, and is known for his line-drive hitting style.
Other signees from Venezuela include shortstop Manuel Campos, catchers Yoelvis Betancourt and Johan Rodriguez, right-handed pitchers Wuillinger Tovar, Diego Areinamo, Jacksel Labastida, and Jesus Cova, as well as left-handed pitcher Luisberth Valdez.
These additions, along with previously reported signings, likely conclude the Braves’ international free agent acquisitions for 2025.
