Mat Sadler Signs New Contract with Walsall FC Until 2028…

Head Coach Mat Sadler has signed a new contract with Walsall FC, putting an end to recent speculation about a possible move to another club.

The club announced that Sadler will remain at the Poundland Bescot Stadium until the summer of 2028. After leading the Saddlers to their best finish in Sky Bet League Two since 2019 during his first season, the 39-year-old coach has continued the team’s progress, currently topping the league and matching a club record with seven consecutive wins.

Walsall has also reached the Third Round of the Carabao Cup for the first time in nine years and advanced to the Last 16 of the Vertu Trophy, where they will face Peterborough United.

Co-Chairman Ben Boycott expressed his satisfaction with the new deal, praising Sadler’s professionalism, coaching skills, and integrity. CEO Ben Sadler also highlighted the club’s commitment to a long-term, sustainable project, emphasizing the importance of stability and progress under Mat Sadler’s leadership.
