Anaheim offers players the allure of sunny California, proximity to Los Angeles, and the perks of a prime location—complete with iconic attractions like Disneyland. For many, it’s a hard opportunity to pass up, especially when coupled with a lucrative deal.
In contrast, joining the Blue Jays requires moving to Canada, a factor that, while not necessarily a dealbreaker, could influence Santander’s decision.

Wherever Santander lands, he’s likely to command a substantial five-year deal after a breakout season with the Baltimore Orioles in 2024. The 30-year-old recorded a strong 2.9 WAR, an impressive .814 OPS, and a .235/.308/.506 slash line, hitting 44 home runs and driving in 102 RBIs.
