Alabama Football Secures Transfer Commitment from Miami Wide Receiver…
On Saturday, Alabama football strengthened its 2025 roster by adding Miami wide receiver Isaiah Horton through the transfer portal.
Horton shared his commitment on social media with the help of Hayes Fawcett from On3.
After spending three seasons at Miami, Horton wrapped up the 2024 season with 56 receptions for 616 yards and five touchdowns. In 2023, he recorded 13 catches for 168 yards and one touchdown, following a redshirt freshman year where he managed one reception for six yards.
A four-star recruit out of Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Horton was part of the 2022 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. His four-star status carried over as a transfer prospect.
Alabama had initially recruited Horton, but he chose Miami at the time. Now, he has the opportunity to bolster Alabama’s receiver corps, which is currently facing depth challenges.
The Crimson Tide heads into the ReliaQuest Bowl with only four scholarship receivers, after losing Cole Adams to injury and experiencing multiple transfer departures at the end of the regular season.
“We need to keep developing players to understand the offense well enough to contribute on the field,” said Alabama head coach Kalen Deboer on Wednesday.
The ReliaQuest Bowl, featuring Alabama against Michigan, is set for Dec. 31 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
