Ole Miss Lands Key Transfer as Alabama’s Caleb Odom Commits to the Rebels…
The Ole Miss wide receiver lineup for the 2025 season is beginning to solidify, bolstered by another high-profile addition from the transfer portal. The latest recruit is Caleb Odom, a former four-star wide receiver and Alabama transfer, whom Ole Miss had pursued during his 2023 recruitment.
Odom, who initially leaned toward Ole Miss before committing to Alabama, has now chosen to continue his college career in Oxford. After visits to Ole Miss, Colorado, and reportedly North Carolina, he ultimately selected Lane Kiffin and the Rebels. The 6-foot-5, 227-pound receiver will have three years of eligibility remaining.
BREAKING: Caleb Odom, a former Alabama freshman wide receiver, has committed to Ole Miss, per @on3sports. Odom was ranked as a five-star recruit in the 2024 class and has substantial potential to make an impact for the Rebels.
Strengthening the Wide Receiver Corps
Odom is the second wide receiver Ole Miss has added via the transfer portal within 48 hours, joining Oklahoma State transfer De’Zhaun Stribling. Like Stribling, Odom brings size and strength to the Rebels’ offense, measuring 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds—attributes more typical of a tight end.
In his freshman season at Alabama, Odom played in all 12 games, recording seven receptions for 65 yards. Despite a limited role, his recruitment as a highly-ranked prospect in the 2024 class underscores his potential.
Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss were close to landing Odom out of high school, but after just one season at Alabama, the Rebels secured the Georgia native. This addition comes as the team looks to rebuild its receiving corps following the departures of Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, and Antwane Wells to the NFL.
With Odom and Stribling now in the mix, the Rebels’ wide receiver room is taking shape, and there is speculation that another transfer, Dane Key, may soon join the team.
