JUST IN: Keenan Allen Welcomes Thomas Brown, Sparking a New Dawn for the Chicago Bears.

Keenan Allen returned to practice with the Bears on Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session, as the team focuses on moving forward under Interim Head Coach Thomas Brown following a series of disappointing losses.

Allen shared that one of the issues under the previous coaching staff was a lack of accountability. “It’s about accountability, and the way the games ended,” he said. “After each game, I felt like we were making enough plays to win.”

Tight end Cole Kmet expressed relief, noting that he felt a sense of renewal after the change. “For me, it really hit yesterday—moving on from the past. Once you hit the field for practice, it always signals a fresh start for the upcoming week.”

A key area that’s being addressed is clock and game management. New offensive coordinator Chris Beatty highlighted that it’s been a significant focus of his career, and both he and Brown are dedicated to improving it. “Thomas and I discussed how to streamline that process and make it smoother. We’ve been working on simulating it in practice to avoid it becoming an issue during games,” Beatty explained. “Part of the challenge has been not staying ahead of the game.”

Allen, who Beatty noted has been stepping up to take on additional coaching responsibilities for the wide receivers, made it clear that he plans to return to the Bears next season. However, contract discussions have not yet begun.
