JUST IN: Maxx Crosby Pens Touching Message to Ex-Raiders Coach Jon Gruden Following Chiefs Loss.

The Las Vegas Raiders narrowly lost a 19-17 battle against the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday, despite a standout performance by Maxx Crosby. Constantly double- and triple-teamed, Crosby still managed to record one sack and three tackles, showcasing relentless effort against the reigning Super Bowl champions. Though the effort didn’t translate into a victory, it earned high praise from former Raiders coach Jon Gruden, now a Barstool Sports contributor and active on social media.

Gruden highlighted Crosby’s exceptional “all-out effort, production, and stamina,” even amid the Raiders’ struggles this season. In response, Crosby shared an affectionate message to his former coach, writing, “Love you coach,” and adding, “More is required,” accompanied by eagle and diamond emojis.

Gruden had a significant influence on Crosby’s early career, coaching him since his rookie year and challenging him to step up by threatening to cut him at one point.

The Raiders, now 2-10, are far from their Super Bowl glory days under Gruden, who led them to the 2003 championship game before falling to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Up next, Crosby and the Raiders will face Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers on the road, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET on December 8.
