Just 11 games into his NFL career, Bo Nix has already earned an NFL Player of the Week Award. The former standout quarterback from Pinson Valley High School and Auburn University was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 11 of the season after an exceptional performance in the Denver Broncos’ commanding 38-6 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Nix delivered a nearly flawless game, completing 28 of 33 passes for 307 yards, throwing four touchdowns, and avoiding any interceptions. This historic performance made him the first rookie in NFL history to achieve 300 passing yards, four touchdown passes, no interceptions, and a completion rate above 75% in a single game. Furthermore, his effort marked only the 20th instance in NFL history where a player recorded at least 300 passing yards, four touchdown passes, no interceptions, and a completion percentage of 84% or higher.
Selected as the 12th overall pick in the NFL Draft on April 25, Nix has started every game for the Broncos this season, quickly establishing himself as a cornerstone of the team.
The NFL announced the Week 11 Player of the Week winners on Wednesday, with Nix joining a distinguished group. Other honorees included New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill for NFC Offensive Player of the Week, Buffalo Bills linebacker Terrell Bernard for AFC Defensive Player of the Week, Los Angeles Rams safety Kamren Kinchens for NFC Defensive Player of the Week, Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell for AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, and Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Karl Brooks for NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
