JUST IN: Baltimore Ravens Enhance Defensive Arsenal with Former All-Pro Cornerback Signing to Practice Squad.

The Baltimore Ravens have added veteran cornerback Desmond King II to their practice squad, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2.

King, an eight-year NFL veteran, has accumulated 56 starts across 106 games in his career. While primarily known as a slot corner, he also played on the boundary during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Drafted in the fifth round by the Chargers in 2017, King earned first-team All-Pro honors in just his second year.

His addition comes at a crucial time, as the Ravens address depth concerns in their secondary. With Arthur Maulet sidelined by a short-term calf injury and Kyle Hamilton taking on more responsibilities as a traditional safety, King’s extensive experience as a nickel back could prove invaluable. Although he has only seen special teams action this season, King will need time to acclimate to Baltimore’s defensive system before stepping onto the field.

Following the promising debut of trade acquisition Tre’Davious White last Sunday, the Ravens are optimistic that King can similarly make a meaningful impact on their secondary this season.
