JUST IN: Pittsburgh Steelers Cut Ties with Versatile Offensive Lineman Due to Strategic Changes.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Tuesday that they’ve released offensive lineman John Leglue from their practice squad. Originally signed after initial roster cuts, Leglue is being let go as the Steelers opt for other versatile players, Doug Nester and Dylan Cook, who can cover multiple positions on the line.

This was Leglue’s second tenure with the Steelers. Before rejoining Pittsburgh, he spent two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans. In his career, Leglue has five starts, all with the Steelers.

A 28-year-old undrafted free agent from Tulane in the 2018 NFL Draft, Leglue has primarily played on practice squads rather than active rosters. Along with Leglue’s release, the Steelers also parted ways with wide receiver Lance McCutcheon and signed running back Jonathan Ward and wide receiver Jamal Agnew.
