JUST IN: Los Angeles Rams Defensive Ace Faces Uncertain Status Following Pre-Game Injury Setback.

Los Angeles Rams star cornerback Charles Woods suffered an ankle injury during pre-game warmups and is now questionable to play against the Dolphins, according to Gary Klein.

After going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, Woods joined the Rams as a free agent alongside 15 other undrafted players, ultimately securing a spot on the team’s 53-man roster. Now, just ahead of the Rams’ highly anticipated Week 10 matchup against Miami, Woods’ potential absence could pose a significant blow.

The Rams, currently on a three-game winning streak, are in a tight division race with the Cardinals and 49ers. Miami, meanwhile, is building momentum under quarterback Tua Tagovailoa but has yet to fully recapture last season’s offensive firepower. However, the Dolphins’ strength in big-play potential—where the Rams have struggled—could be a deciding factor in the matchup.

The Dolphins, aiming for a playoff spot with a 2-6 record, will be counting on star receiver Tyreek Hill, who leads the team with 446 receiving yards and 34 catches but has only one touchdown through the season’s first eight games. This game marks Hill’s first matchup against the Rams as a Dolphin and his second career face-off with L.A. In his previous encounter, he posted a phenomenal 10 catches for 215 yards and two touchdowns, albeit in a narrow 54-51 loss with the Chiefs.

For the Rams, injuries have been a season-long challenge. They recently activated center Steve Avila and guard Jonah Jackson from injured reserve. Avila, who injured his knee in Week 1, and Jackson, who fractured his scapula in Week 2, have both missed most of the season. Wide receiver Puka Nacua has also been sidelined intermittently with knee issues.
