Antonio Pierce has been Fired as the Head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders…
Antonio Pierce, the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, is struggling in his first full season, with the team sitting at 2-7. Just a year after taking over midseason and leading the Raiders to a respectable 5-4 finish, the former linebacker seems to have lost his momentum.
Managing games has been a major challenge, as Pierce has already switched quarterbacks twice. In addition, he fired offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, offensive line coach James Cregg, and quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello after just nine games.
While the Raiders’ roster construction is far from ideal, Pierce’s inexperience is becoming evident, and he appears to be overwhelmed in the role.
His future with the team is uncertain, and many believed he won’t make it to a second season. Finally, Raiders have fired him. One name to watch is former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, who has a strong connection with Raiders minority owner Tom Brady. Vrabel currently works as a coaching and personnel consultant for the Cleveland Browns.
