The Chicago Bears are dealing with numerous injuries as they prepare for their upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals, hoping to recover from last weekend’s tough loss.
The Cardinals, led by Kyler Murray, have been performing well, adding pressure to the Bears’ situation. However, there is some encouraging news for Chicago. Cornerback Kyler Gordon, sidelined by a hamstring strain sustained in London, has returned to practice in a limited capacity and is listed as questionable for the game.
Gordon has been balancing his eagerness to get back on the field with caution, as this type of injury is new to him. “It’s tough being smart and eager at the same time, finding the balance between not pushing too far but still testing it and making progress,” Gordon said. “I want to be back on the field as soon as possible. I hate sitting out—I want to be there, making plays, having fun, and supporting my teammates.”
Gordon’s presence would be valuable against the versatile Cardinals quarterback, Murray, who now has rookie standout Marvin Harrison Jr. as a key target. “He’s got great skills, speed, and a strong arm,” Gordon noted. “The focus is on taking those strengths away and neutralizing him.”
On the downside, safety Jaquan Brisker has been ruled out for the game, along with left tackles Kiran Amegadjie and Braxton Jones. Head coach Matt Eberflus mentioned that Larry Borom, also listed as questionable, has performed well in practice. Borom would need to be activated from injured reserve to play in Arizona.
