The Miami Dolphins have cut former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Anderson Hardy from their practice squad. Hardy had been with the Dolphins for the entire regular season after they signed him immediately following his release from the Steelers during their roster reductions. Pittsburgh opted not to re-sign him to their practice squad.
Hardy initially joined the Steelers in January on a reserve/future contract, spending the spring and summer training with the team. He played at both guard positions and occasionally at tackle, but struggled during the preseason and did not make the final roster.
A graduate of Appalachian State, Hardy had a stint with the Kansas City Chiefs after going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. In August, the Steelers signed offensive linemen Doug Nester and John Leglue to their practice squad instead of re-signing Hardy, and both players have remained there to provide depth amid ongoing injuries to the Steelers’ offensive line.
