The Chicago Bulls have started the season stronger than anticipated, currently sitting at 2-2 with wins over the Milwaukee Bucks and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Their style of play has been exciting, with standout performances from players like Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, Josh Giddey, and Coby White. Lonzo Ball, returning after a two-year injury hiatus, has also been a key contributor, though he’s on limited playing time.
Despite the minutes restriction, Ball’s impact has been evident. Against the Grizzlies, he played 18 minutes, scoring 6 points, delivering 6 assists, and registering a plus-16 off the bench, helping the Bulls recover from a 20-point deficit to win 126-123.
Ball received praise for his contributions, but some unfortunate news followed. According to CBS News, he suffered a right wrist sprain in the first quarter of Monday’s game and will be reevaluated in 10 days.
The injury isn’t related to his knee, which is a relief, and since he continued to play effectively, it doesn’t appear serious. Ball could return by November 9 against the Atlanta Hawks, and we wish him a quick recovery.
In the meantime, players like Ayo Dosunmu and Dalen Terry may see increased minutes off the bench for the Bulls.
