Former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman recently criticized the Dallas Cowboys’ wide receivers, especially CeeDee Lamb, following the team’s struggles.
With the Cowboys standing at 3-3 after a humiliating 47-9 defeat to the Detroit Lions in Week 6, Aikman expressed his frustration on 96.7 The Ticket.
He called out the team’s poor route running, stating that it has been an ongoing issue. Aikman specifically noted that Lamb needs to improve, highlighting inconsistent effort from the WRs when they don’t expect the ball.
This criticism comes after Lamb signed a four-year, $136 million contract, which raised expectations. Aikman also mentioned that other receivers, including Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin, and Jalen Brooks, must step up.
With a crucial game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, the Cowboys will need their wide receivers to improve significantly.
