New York Jets Top Linebacker Confronts Holdout and $1.6 Million Lawsuit Following Trade from Philadelphia Eagles.

New York Jets pass rusher Haason Reddick has been missing from his new team since being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles during the offseason. His continued holdout, which is considered unusual in recent NFL history, has already cost him millions of dollars.

Adding to his troubles, Reddick is now facing a lawsuit accusing him of owing an additional $1.6 million, further complicating his situation while he remains away from team activities.

The lawsuit was initiated by Micah Khan, who claims Reddick failed to pay him the promised $1.6 million following the sale of Haven Home Health Agency, a senior care business in which Reddick was involved. Though Reddick didn’t manage the company directly, it was run by his father and an administrator on his behalf.

Khan was brought on in 2021 to help turn the struggling business around through marketing and business development, under an agreement that he would receive 50% of the proceeds if the company was sold.

According to Khan, his efforts led to the company’s improvement and eventual sale for $3.25 million earlier this year. When he asked for his share, Khan claims that Reddick’s father, Raymond Matthews, reacted aggressively.

Allegedly, Matthews arrived at a meeting with “security” and threatened to go to Khan’s wife’s workplace and his son’s after-school program, escalating what was originally a business disagreement into a threatening confrontation.

Ross Wolfe, Khan’s lawyer, mentioned that they tried to settle the issue out of court, but those efforts failed. This prompted Khan to pursue legal action, adding yet another layer of legal and financial challenges to Reddick’s ongoing issues both on and off the field.
