JUST IN: Houston Astros Head Comes with Shcoking Lineup Changes to Face Detroit Tigers in AL Wild Card Showdown…

Detroit Tigers Set to Face Houston Astros in American League Wild Card Round…

The remarkable turnaround of the Detroit Tigers will be remembered for years, but their journey isn’t over yet. They’ve secured a spot in the American League Playoffs, and this is just the beginning.

The Tigers clinched a playoff berth on Friday night at Comerica Park, thrilling over 44,000 fans in the stadium and countless others watching from across the state and country.

Now, the Tigers shift their focus to their next opponent: the Houston Astros.

After surpassing the Kansas City Royals for the fifth seed in the American League playoffs on Friday, the Tigers lost both Saturday and Sunday games to the Chicago White Sox. Meanwhile, the Royals’ win on Sunday moved them back into fifth place, finalizing the playoff matchups. Kansas City will head to Baltimore, and the Tigers will face the Astros in Houston.

Tigers Playoff Schedule

With the regular season behind them, it’s time to talk playoffs!

The Tigers are heading to Houston for a best-of-three series. The winner advances to the American League Divisional Series.

Will the Tigers keep their momentum? They’ll play all three games during the week, with a 2:32 p.m. start time.

– Game 1: Tuesday, Oct. 1, on ABC
– Game 2: Wednesday, Oct. 2, on ABC
– Game 3 (if needed): Thursday, Oct. 3, on ABC

If the Tigers win two of the games, they’ll move on to face Cleveland in the American League Divisional Series.

How to Get Tigers Playoff  Tickets

The Tigers are in the playoffs, and fans are eager to get tickets!

However, tickets aren’t available just yet because the Wild Card round games are played at the home field of the higher-seeded team. This means the Tigers must win two of the three games in Houston to earn their spot in the ALDS and the chance for home game tickets.

Will the Tigers Face Justin Verlander?

For fans dreaming of a playoff rematch with former Tigers ace Justin Verlander, it’s unlikely.

Verlander, now with the Astros, is currently fourth in Houston’s pitching rotation and is expected to be held for the ALDS. Barring a major change or Verlander coming out of the bullpen, a matchup against him in the Wild Card round is not expected.
