Breaking News: Dolphins’ Injury Predicament Worsens as Two Pivotal Players are Sidelined for Monday Night Football.
The challenges for the Miami Dolphins continue to pile up. Following concussions last Sunday, both Terron Armstead and Kendall Fuller have been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Titans. This season is not unfolding as the team had hoped.
The Dolphins made the announcement after neither player participated in practice this week, and both remain in concussion protocol. As a result, the Dolphins may need to start rookies in their place. With David Long Jr. also likely to miss the game, there’s a chance we could see Mohamed Kamara get some playing time.
One of the key concerns is at left tackle, where the Dolphins might start Patrick Paul for the first time. Paul played a single snap last week when Kendall Lamm briefly exited the game. Miami hasn’t yet confirmed who will start, but Paul could be in the mix.
However, it would make more sense for Lamm to start. In 2023, Lamm filled in for Armstead when he was out and performed well. Keeping Lamm on the left side seems like a logical move. He’s currently listed as the backup right tackle behind Austin Jackson.
Storm Duck may also get significant playing time at cornerback. After Fuller was injured last Sunday, Duck stepped in for the Dolphins’ battered secondary. Although Duck also sustained an injury, he has practiced this week. If he starts, it would be a notable development, especially after the preseason buzz around Ethan Bonner.
As an outside linebacker, Kamara could be active on Monday if Long is sidelined. If he does suit up, it would mark the rookie’s first appearance this season. The Dolphins face difficult decisions, including starting their third quarterback in four weeks, with Tyler Huntley named the starter on Saturday.
