Breaking News: Toronto Raptors Sign’s Top Shooting Guard To Exhibit 10 Contract
The Toronto Raptors have officially announced the signing of Jahmi’us Ramsey via Twitter.
Earlier, Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy reported that the Raptors signed the 23-year-old guard to an Exhibit 10 contract. Ramsey was the 43rd overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft after playing one season at Texas Tech. He initially played for the Sacramento Kings but saw limited action, appearing in just 32 games over two seasons. The Kings released him in February 2022.
After leaving the Kings, Ramsey joined the Oklahoma City Blue, the G League affiliate of the Thunder, where he played through the 2022/23 season. He had signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Thunder before being waived for a bonus.
In 2023, Ramsey earned All-NBA G League Third Team honors and signed two 10-day contracts with the Raptors, playing seven games and averaging 6.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game.
Although Ramsey remains eligible for a two-way contract for one more season, all three of the Raptors’ two-way spots are currently filled, meaning someone would have to be released for him to be converted. If waived before the season starts and he joins Raptors 905, Toronto’s G League affiliate, for at least 60 days, he could earn a bonus of up to $77,500 on top of his G League salary.
With Ramsey’s signing, the Raptors’ offseason roster is now at full capacity with 21 players.
