Breaking News: Minnesota Timberwolves strengthen their lineup with the signing of Four Top NBA players.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to kick off their NBA training camp next week in preparation for the 2024-25 season. Ahead of camp, they signed four players: guards Skylar Mays and Trevor Keels, along with forwards Jaedon LeDee and Eugene Omoruyi. However, Keels was waived on Thursday.
Skylar Mays appeared in 38 games last season for the Trail Blazers and Lakers, where he averaged 4.1 points in 17 minutes per game. Drafted 50th overall in 2019 by Atlanta, the 27-year-old LSU alum has played in 105 NBA games, with 16 starts.
Jaedon LeDee, who was part of the Wolves’ summer league team, earned Mountain West Player of the Year honors last season at San Diego State. He previously played college basketball at Ohio State and TCU.
Eugene Omoruyi, who spent last season with the Wizards, averaged 4.8 points and 9.1 minutes in 43 games. Over 87 NBA games with the Mavericks, Thunder, and Pistons, he has posted averages of 5.7 points and 2.3 rebounds. He played college basketball at Rutgers and Oregon.
Keels, who played for the Iowa Wolves last season, averaged 14.1 points and 3.6 assists over 39 games. He has had brief NBA experience with the Knicks, having been drafted 42nd overall in 2022.
