Timberwolves acquire the leading collegiate power forward from last season through an Exhibit 10 contract.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are building their team as training camp approaches in less than two weeks. They have signed Jaedon LeDee to an Exhibit 10 contract. LeDee, 25, was recognized as the top college power forward last season, averaging 21.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game at San Diego State. He also played in the Summer League for the Wolves.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed deal that lets the team potentially convert it to a two-way contract or keep the player on their G League team. Players with this contract can earn bonuses if they are waived and spend time in the G League.
LeDee’s signing is part of the Wolves’ effort to develop players and see if he could be a success story. Timberwolves training camp begins on October 1, with the preseason starting on October 4.
