Breaking News: Detroit Lions Designate Two Athletes to the Injured Reserved List
The Lions have made several roster adjustments on Tuesday, including placing two players on injured reserve.
Detroit confirmed that linebacker Derrick Barnes and defensive end Marcus Davenport have been moved to IR.
Head coach Dan Campbell mentioned on Monday that Barnes would be sidelined due to a knee injury, though he wasn’t certain if it would keep him out for at least four weeks. It has now been confirmed that Barnes will be eligible to return for the Week 8 game against Tennessee.
Davenport will miss the entire 2024 season due to an elbow injury.
To address one of the roster vacancies, the Lions have promoted receiver Tim Patrick from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. The former Broncos wide receiver has made three receptions for 20 yards this season.
Additionally, Detroit has signed defensive back Morice Norris to their practice squad.
